Colorful glass fish became popular interior decorations in the 1960s and 1970s. They were handmade from glass, with multicolored elements embedded in the glass mass and shaped fins and tail. They were most often displayed on televisions, in display cabinets, and on shelves, hence the term “TV fish.”
